MILP Roundup #352

The weekly Mothers In the Legal Profession Roundup is hosted on a rotating basis on the following blogs: ButterflyfishGraceBJJ, Law, and LivingMommy and the Sin CityMagic CookieThe Reluctant Grownup; and right here at Perspectives of a Hard Boiled Egg.

This roundup includes posts between Monday, June 16 and Monday, June 23. Ready? Let’s go!

Baby Watch 2014:
CM is thrilled she isn’t joining the growing list of MILPs that are pregnant (again).
Frenchie makes it to 16 weeks and is feeling much better health wise, but not as good when it comes to baby names.
I’m fretting just like Frenchie, because at 24 weeks we don’t have a name picked out.

Learning is Hard but Rewarding:
Alice joins a playgroup, hoping her son will have an easier time learning Mandarin Chinese.
Grace wonders how to pass on her hard-won backbone to her daughter.
Kate, on lessons from Shakespeare. Is it ever too early to start reading his plays to kids?
The Queen of Hats sets up a chemistry set and pH gets to work.
Daisy and her family try to survive without hot water. Is there a lesson in there somewhere?

Lawyering is Hard but Rewarding, too:
Cee gets ready to go to trial.
LL contemplates the return to BigLaw.
What’s in a name? kderoll contemplates lawyering as Mrs. Husband or Ms. Maiden.

Next week: Butterflyfish is up!
