Giving Things Up

Inspired by my friend Shawna over at The Bluest Muse, I’m giving up coffee for Lent. No, I’m not Catholic, but I find it an admirable practice to attempt to give up something that you love or crave. Today is day 3 of no coffee and while I’m drinking English Breakfast tea, so it sort of feels like I’m cheating, I am managing surprisingly well.

And speaking of giving things up: sundown marks the beginning of the National Day of Unplugging. So before sundown, I’m going to print directions to the birthday party we’re going to tomorrow and find the recipe for the casserole I’m making for my husband’s grandma tonight. And then my plan is to turn off my phone and iPad for 24 hours. Join me in solidarity, please?
