A Lawyer's Dream

The spouse woke up from an afternoon nap today and described his dream, all about going back to his grandparents’ house in Napa and finding old belongings, even though the house has been remodeled and no longer belongs to anyone in the family.

“Do you still have a possessory interest in the property?” I asked.

“Well, it depends.”

“I don’t think so. It’s abandonment. The new owners have no obligation to keep the property and even if they did, the statutes of limitations have surely passed.”

“Yeah, you’re probably right. But we still took the stuff.”

And that is how we do dream analysis around here.
