Last week we were in Florida for the space shuttle launch. Then this past weekend we drove to Maine to see my grandparents one last time before our departure from the East Coast. And today we drive away for good.
There is so much to write about, including how seeing the space shuttle launch was about the coolest thing ever, even though I’m one of the biggest skeptics of the space program. More about that later. Probably much later, considering we still have to finish packing the car, return a book to the library, go to the post office, and oh…that pesky thing called cleaning.
I cried when we drove into Maryland on the 270 almost three years ago this week. I knew I did not want to be here. I’m not sure what I’ll do when we leave on the 270 later today.
